LIETUVOS ARCHEOlogija is an international, peer-reviewed scientific journal dedicated to publishing original research articles on the archaeology of Lithuania and the Baltic region, as well as studies from European archaeology that have connections to this part of the world.
The journal seeks to advance archaeological knowledge by publishing analyses of archaeological material, the results of recent archaeological excavations, and discussions on theoretical and methodological approaches. The journal welcomes publications covering various chronological periods, starting with prehistory and finishing with the modern era. In addition to research articles, the journal features reviews of archaeological books, articles, scientific events (conferences, seminars) and discussions.
The journal is published annually by the Lithuanian Institute of History. Texts are provided in Lithuanian and English.
LIETUVOS ARCHEOlogija has been published regularly for more than 40 years, since 1979.

LIETUVOS ARCHEOlogija is an open-access (OA) journal – all publications are freely available to readers without subscription or paywall restrictions. Articles published in the journal are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License (CC BY 4.0).
PUBLISHING SCHEDULE
The volume is published annually in December, in both electronic and print formats. The deadline for submitting manuscripts for publication in the current year is June 30.

The journal does not charge article processing fees or submission charges.
