Lithuanian Ethnology: Studies in Social Anthropology and Ethnology (LE) is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal released by the Lithuanian Institute of History for Lithuanian and international readers. The journal seeks to share Lithuanian ethnology and anthropology research from the theoretical, ethical, historical, comparative and contemporary anthropology perspectives. Attention is concentrated on Lithuania and Central and Eastern Europe. Themes revealing the social reality, culture, anthropological history and ethnicity in societies in Lithuania and the Baltic region are of particular importance. The journal presents the latest research conducted in the fields of anthropology, ethnology and ethnography and encourages innovative theoretical, methodological and interdisciplinary discussions. It contains original scientific articles, book summaries and reviews, as well as ethnographic sources, expedition, film and project surveys. The texts appear in Lithuanian or English.
